Hemel Speakers were delighted to welcome Deputy Mayor Councillor Alan Johnson and his wife to our meeting at Liberty Tea Rooms last Thursday evening.
Councillor Johnson delivered an engaging and inspiring speech on the importance of volunteering, highlighting the vital role that community spirit plays in bringing people together and creating positive change.
It was particularly fitting to host this visit at Liberty Tea Rooms, which is a wonderful example of the power of volunteering in action. The dedication of its volunteers makes a real difference to the local community and perfectly illustrates the Deputy Mayor’s message.
Hemel Speakers were honoured by the visit and grateful for the opportunity to share the work they do helping individuals build confidence, develop public speaking skills, and support one another in a welcoming and encouraging environment.
