3 Peaks Challenge

3 Peaks, 2 Men, 1 Week!

On Saturday 26th May 2018 Owen and Colin – along with Dave Bowles – set off together to complete a crazy adventure!

Their aim? To hike the 3 tallest peaks in Great Britain, Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon AND to cycle the distance between them – all in one week!
In total they covered 900km on their bikes and hiked up a total of 52km (or 52,000 metres!)

All this to support Liberty Tea Rooms & Community Hub and specifically CAP (Christians Against Poverty), one of the services our Community Hub offer.
OVERALL THEY RAISED £3,000!!

All funds raised were shared between these two amazing organisations. Liberty Tea Rooms & Community Hub and CAP (Christians Against Poverty).

After completing the climb of Ben Nevis, Owen shared on BBC 3 Counties Radio:
“Every step I took was a reminder of the uphill struggle that people in debt are facing. We need funds to ensure that we remain as a place of help & hope in our community”
